The history

Origins.

Electric Blue takes shape in Turin around four musicians and an idea that is simple only in appearance: to devote an entire live project to the music of The Cranberries. The repertoire requires balance, dynamics and attention to detail, so the band adopts a stable and consistent way of working from the outset.

The rehearsal room provided by Giorgio Giardina becomes the project's operational home. The first set lists are developed there, along with the sounds and working method that will accompany the band over the following years.

Growing through the stage.

Electric Blue grows mainly by playing. Concerts become the place where arrangements, repertoire and the ability to connect with an audience are tested. The project gradually consolidates its presence in Turin and Piedmont before expanding to dates elsewhere in Italy.

During this phase Giorgio and Elvis develop an increasingly important role in shaping the live show. The former focuses on guitars, sound and arrangement structure; the latter on rhythmic dynamics and the concert's ability to move from intimate passages to more powerful openings.

It is less visible work than simply standing on stage, but essential: preparation, reliability, continuity and the ability to face different settings become a substantial part of the project's identity.

Italy, Ireland, the United Kingdom.

In its more mature years the project moves into a broader dimension. International trips, and Ireland and the UK in particular, carry a meaning beyond simply adding dates to a calendar.

Performing The Cranberries' repertoire in places where that music forms part of the collective memory means facing audiences that are knowledgeable and often emotionally connected to the songs. It becomes both an important test and a confirmation of the level of preparation achieved.

Different ambitions.

As the years pass, different views of the project's future progressively emerge. The issue is not the value of the shared history, but the level of development each person imagines for the band.

For Giorgio and Elvis, the experience accumulated over the years increasingly points towards the need to raise the level further: stronger preparation, more detailed arrangements, organisational reliability, sound quality and the ability to sustain more demanding professional settings.

The distance between these perspectives grows over time. In 2026 it becomes clear that the historical line-up has reached the end of its cycle.

The split and what followed.

The end of the historical line-up does not erase the previous eight years. Electric Blue had been built through the work of a band and through a shared experience of rehearsals, concerts, travel and audiences.

After the separation, a different line-up chooses to continue using the Electric Blue name. Giorgio Giardina and Elvis D'Elia decide not to turn the project's conclusion into a permanent dispute over the name and instead invest their work in a new identity.

With a new line-up and an independent musical direction, Electric Blue Experience — The Cranberries Reimagined is born.

One part of the story keeps the name. Another chooses to give its future a new one.
